Acceptable use policy

Run your game, treat the shared machine and other people fairly, and follow the law. That is most of it.

The legal business name, jurisdiction, and contact address are being confirmed and will be added here before any payment is accepted. Until then this page is a draft of the terms we intend to operate under.

Use the server for games

Plans are for running the game server you ordered and the tools that support it (plugins, mods, maps, a voice bridge, a web map). They are not general-purpose compute. Do not use a game server plan for cryptocurrency mining, proxies or VPN exits, bulk email, web crawling, file sharing of content you do not have rights to, or any workload unrelated to running your game.

Respect the shared machine

  • Stay within your plan's memory, CPU, and disk limits; do not try to bypass them.
  • Do not run scripts whose purpose is to defeat the panel, the container runtime, or our monitoring.
  • Do not deliberately overload your server in a way that affects other customers, such as sustained saturation tests.

Security and other people

  • Never attack, scan, flood, or attempt to access any system without permission, including other customers' servers, our infrastructure, or third parties.
  • No harassment campaigns, doxxing, or hosting content whose purpose is to harm a person.
  • If you find a security problem in our service, tell us privately and give us time to fix it. We will not penalize good-faith reports.

Content and the law

  • Do not store or distribute content that is illegal where you or we are located, including child sexual abuse material, which we report to the authorities.
  • Only host software, maps, and assets you have the right to use. Respect the licenses of plugins and mods.
  • Follow the rules of the game you run. For Minecraft that includes the Minecraft EULA and its commercial usage guidelines, which limit what a server may sell to players.

Reports and enforcement

Report abuse through the support page. For most problems we contact the customer and give them a chance to fix it. Where a server is actively attacking others, hosting illegal content, or endangering the machine, we suspend it first and explain afterwards. Repeated or serious breaches end the service, as set out in the terms of service.
